SIMPLE CHURCH |

|
We are currently launching Simple Churches throughout Oklahoma. We are primarily focusing on the Tulsa area and the surrounding regions. Simple Churches are not just “Cell Groups” or “House Churches” they are much much more!!! Simple Churches are typically small groups but can be as many as 100 people. A Simple Church is defined by the type of people that make it up and style of ministry and discipleship. Simple Church members and ministers alike are those that know they are called to something more! They know that the Body of Christ is being revived and that the Revived Body is going to look different, act different, and flow different than anything we have seen. The “New Wineskin” is coming forth and the Simple Church is an essential part of that process. For better understanding of the Church Prototype read below. We now have meetings active in Tulsa and Jenks. For a meeting location and time E-mail Brother Gene. |

THE EXPANDED VISION of THE PROTOTYPE
Often when we present the Vision of Simple Gospel Truth Ministries people just can’t quite “wrap their head around it” the concept of simplicity seems to elude our modern society with all of our technology and business. It just can’t be that simple can it ?!?!?
So we find ourselves continually trying to give a detailed definition of what we are all about time and time again. So I am endeavoring to write an explanation that should answer most if not all of the basic questions.
The bottom line of the entire Ministry is PEOPLE, PEOPLE, PEOPLE!!! We are called to build PEOPLE and MINISTRIES not BUILDINGS!!! In the modern Church structure you gather people into what for the most part is a CONTAINMENT MODEL of ministry. The “Church Prototype” uses the RELEASING and SENDING MODEL of ministry.
THE CONTAINMENT MODEL of ministry gathers people and based on the number of people in the pew of chair and the building is then designed to accommodate that amount of people plus a percentage for growth/visitors/special events. Which means if you do it “successfully” you are ever increasing the size of your building and budget requirements. This puts constraints on how much you can do Missions home or abroad and how much the Church (Body) can really support the Body vs. the Body supporting the Church (Institution).
THE RELEASING/SENDING MODEL of ministry is relationship based never allowing any part of the body to grow larger than will support interactive relationship between the Shepherd(Pastor) and the group he is shepherding. From the research that we have done we believe that a Shepherd should oversee small groups ideally 12 – 30 people average and no more than 100 individuals maximum. If there are 100 it is still recommended that they be structured as at least two smaller groups if not more with leadership being trained in each for the purpose of releasing other Shepherds(Pastors).
These small groups would relate with one another weekly in homes, offices, coffee shops and other small more intimate venues.
Then each weekend different small groups will meet at a Discipleship Center so small groups can share testimonies of what the Lord is doing and the groups can enjoy times of refreshing, motivation and activation through Corporate Worship, Testimony, Teaching and Impartation.(i.e. – Groups 1-4 one weekend 5-8 the next 9-12 the next etc.) THIS MEANS EACH GROUP WILL ONLY ATTEND THE LARGER SERVICES MONTHLY. This allows much more family time and small group time which builds people instead of buildings.
Quarterly there will be a larger weekend Conference where guest ministry will come for worship explosions, teaching, equipping and impartation to the ENTIRE CORPORATE BODY!!! This way we are not sacrificing the incredible benefits of the large scale Corporate Anointing but incorporating it in a much more efficient and cost effective way.
This model does many things the most important of which it gets us back to a more Biblical pattern that allows the People of God to do more of the things they are called to do. This pattern when brought to maturity can Oversee 20,000 people out of a building that only seats about 750 people meaning 70 – 80% or more of the finances can be going directly to Out-reach(Home Missions), In-reach(Needs within the Body), Missions, Restoration Houses, and Discipleship Centers.
The Restoration Houses and Discipleship Training Centers will work in conjunction with each other providing Discipleship training each week Monday – Friday. Developing an ever increasing supply of solid laborers and ministers for the Gospel of The Kingdom.
Equally important is any currently existing ministry no matter what format can be involved, assisted and/or strengthened through relationship with our groups. Because of this structure members can easily be involved in supporting and attending other Churches and Ministries in the area. This means the Body of Christ can actually start looking like the Body of Christ and not a dismembered corpse.
